F1 Weekend

One of the best events in Singapore that many have been waiting happened over the weekends.
It was the annual F1 Singapore Grand Prix race that got almost the whole world talking about.
And as usual every year, I am so lucky to get a chance to be in their after parties.
Didn't manage to do Johnnie Walker this year because of conflict in interest. :-(
They are usually one of the best parties to be at during F1.
The music and crowd never fails to make you enjoy the night.

Apart from that, I met Sherena for brunch on Saturday before my crazy weekend started. We met at Jones the Grocer and it was my first time! The brunch is a little pricey than usual BUT it was DELICIOUS. Would totally go back there some other time to have their lunch/dinner meals.

We came at about 12 on the dot so we managed to get seats but by the time we were done, there was a MAD LONG queue at the door.

HAHAHAHA, LOVE this picture of us because we sent it to Eliza who couldn't make it .

I don't have a proper picture of what Sherena ordered. Was basically banana bread with greek yogurt and passionfruit.
For myself, I ordered Benedicts Breakfast.
Doesn't the eggs look like 2 round firm boobies HAHAHAHA
Their serving was really small and both of us were still hungry which lead us to order their Club Sandwich.

LOOKS SO GOOD HERE, I wanna have one now .
Fries were non-crispy bleah. I always expect fries to be hot and crispy.
The sandwich stack bigger than my face. It had avacado, bacon, chicken, egg and etc. I thought it was actually better than their brunch meals. Yummy.
Trying to meet up with her because she will be gone for another few months next week! :-(
Eliza and Sherena were so sweet because they purposely arranged their travel plans after the NPNF finals so that they could see me walk. AW I LOVE YOU BOTH :')
This good looking little chap, Dennis came to talk to me when I was working. I have no idea who he is but he was really cute. While his mum was busy shopping for makeup, he kept playing with my white dress and danced with me. He said something that melt my heart, "My wife must be as pretty as you next time. "
KIDS THESE DAYS SO SWEET!!
He told me he had 7 siblings in total. WHAT! don't even know if he's speaking the truth but he made my Saturday.

Saturday Night view at 1 Altitude.
Never thought that Singapore was so beautiful at 63 storeys high.
The skyline was so pretty!

On Sunday, Jody invited us to his bbq party over at The Sail, marina boulevard.
They have an aqua gym at the condo itself, SO AWESOME.
Working out without having to sweat!!

We could see the race being held from the apartment's window.
Sorry, photo taken from the inside. Didn't want to risk my brand new phone out of the window and 46 floors down HAHAHA

Pictures from Irina's mobile.
I can never be bothered editing the photos because I don't have plenty of time to do that.
Irina and Dave were also there but I had to leave early cause of an appointment. :(
Sobs, really wanted to join yall!

So lucky that I managed to get an entire glimpse of the fireworks at the final lap.
I took a hell lot of photos but this was the best shot ...
Hehe I feel so proud about this picture. NO STEALING THANKS.
Here's a short video of the fireworks. I was at Lantern @ fullerton bay hotel which was directly opposite the fireworks.

AHHHH so pretty!
VETTEL WON!!! So proud of him cause he has taken the title 4 times in a row and he is SO YOUNG and cute teehee
Other than that, I tried opening a Champagne bottle with a saber!!
Nicholas was the saberage master LOL
This was taken after work past midnight so I look exhausted.
Trying to give excuse. He's single girls so anyone needs my help??
Hahahaha kidding.

I DID IT AT MY FIRST TRY OK. Some guests didn't manage to saber the top off when they did it. Then, they keep trying and trying but #failed. LOL
*flips hair*

Went to Pan Pacific for their pool party to have a look.
It was not planned and coincidentally I wore a dress that suit the whole pool party theme.
The crowd already died down when I got there :-(

Lukey and Shi xian.
ARIEL WHERE DID YOU GO?

DONE!
That's all the pictures taken the past weekend.
Just came home from npnf rehearsals. Thankfully, the rehearsals on Wednesday and Friday are cancelled! More rest!

Forty Hands/Plain Vanilla

One of the latest activity that I like to do nowadays is Cafe hopping! As you can see in my previous entries, I've been to quite a number of cafes to have brunch. Yesterday, Charlotte and I decided to meet up for lunch before a long day of errands. I had fitting for npnf afterwards.

We went over to Forty Hands since we were around Tiong Bahru.
Its located at 40 Yong Siak road , explains why its name Forty Hands? There are alot of cafes/bars around that area which I really want to drop by but its such a distance from my place. Sigh.

How the interior looks like. Sorry I am VERY BAD at taking pictures because
I don't want to be seen like a fool running around the space taking pictures.
There is an outdoor sitting area and a few tables outside the cafe itself.
It definitely gets packed on weekends judging from the seats available so be early if you're heading down for brunch.
I love how the whole shop has this antique vintage atmosphere to it but I thought the space was a little squeezy .
My lunch buddy
To our disappointment, 40 hands doesn't serve all day breakfast or brunch on weekdays.
The only options was their sandwiches and hotdog breads so I ordered the Truffle mushroom sandwich with a cup of hot chocolate.
Barister drew me a cute bear coffee art, definitely brightened up my day by a little.

Nom Nom Nom Charlotte eating her sandwich. Forgot what it was called but it was some pork sandwich, tasted just like pizza toppings in a sandwich.
As we were both still had time, we went over to Plain Vanilla to have some quick desserts!
No matter how full I am, there's still space for some cupcakes.
Located just a few shophouses down from 40 hands, you definitely can't miss this bakery.

One of the reasons why I love this place is because not only it serves the best cupcakes in town but the whole ambiance of this place makes it so good for picture taking!
There were a few paintings on the wall showing the process of how the cupcakes are made.
Look at the variety of cupcake toppings!!! Plain Vanilla does offer baking customized cupcakes for your special occasions.
One cupcake costs $3.50 whereas half a dozen will cost you $19.
They do serve other desserts like chocolate tarts, brownies etc but the cupcake seem too appetizing to miss!
ALL MINE!

Still learning the ropes of doing different poses. Charlotte is a professional in that.
AND YES!!!!!!

I PASSED MY FTT!!!!

I was so nervous because so many of my friends have been saying you will always fail the first time but I'm glad I DID NOT!!!!
If I were to fail my FTT, it'll definitely delay my practical lessons and TP but THANK GOD!
Got a 48/50, thanks to all the e-trials that helped me ALOT.
By the way, I'm contemplating if I should go bkk during my Oct Holidays..
Decisions ... Decisions....
Oh! I decided to put up a new banner else my blog would look a little plain.
Taken by a aspiring photographer from KL, Renee, I love how she captures candid expressions
